Wildfire – Michael Martin Murphey

One of my favorite songs from the 70’s. Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy some beautiful, haunting music. A great way to start your Monday…be sure to listen to the story at the start of the video.

    Morning Beth,

I remember this song very well also. Wonderful way to start the day.

Love this guy, too! We were very fortunate to see MMM in concert at the Galveston Opera House a number of years ago. It was a fantastic show! He really interwove cowboy storytelling with his music. His performance was so audience related, not just going up there to shoot of the music, but so much education about Western life.

In the Summer, you can take the excursion train from Alamosa, CO to the mountains near La Veta for a concert by MMM and other artists, along with a BBQ dinner under the twilight sky. I have wanted to do that.

I saw him in N Idaho many many years ago, and it was wonderful. Don’t remember as much as you do about it, though, but that sounds like a great show.

That train trip sounds like fun!! You need to do it!
